Easy Saturday Spin

Steve and Bjorn will be leading a group on Saturday. The destination is Three Rock and Fairy castle. The pace will be easy so this spin will be fine for beginners. Meet at the Yellow House at 10am or Ticknock lower car park at 10.30am.

Well since Nigel wrote a report on Sunday, I wont be
out done, so heres Saturdays spin report.

Six of us set out from the YH at 10.10. We headed up
ticknock hill, (at record pace if I do say so) , and
after a short wait for Nigel (who couldnt come) ; we
headed up to the masts. It was here that Raul told us
he found his bike in a skip!

Myself, Bjoern, Eamon, Mark, Raul and (im really sorry
but I cant remember your name) headed up the climb to
fairy castle. It was here that Raul showed us all up
with his bald tyres spinning skills through the deep
    mud.

After a short break at Fairy Castle we headed right
and down the long muddy descend heading towards the
Wicklow Way. It was here the first crash of the day
happened. I was leading with Mark on my wheel when i
went over a rock with too much speed and a puddle of
mud ate my front tyre and threw me over the bars.

With my pride hurt and covered in mud, we headed on
towards the Woca Wocas. However just before the Woca
Wocas we turned right and descended through the forest
(where there were plenty of slippery crashes) back
onto the kimashouge fire road. We then climbed back up
to the masts and descended the WHOLE boneshaker in all
    its glory.

But the spin didnt end there... After I asked some
people in the pub, we found the descent onto the
stepaside road through the foresty kind of trail
    beside peoples house.

Not the intended spin but a really good one anyway.
Seemed to be lots more downhill than there was up
    which is a good sign!

    Steve
