NPS Round 5, Tymon Park, Sunday 6th July

The IMBRC are running the 5th round of the NPS in Tymon park, Tallaght on Sunday 6th July, and are also running a team-relay on Saturday 5th July at 2pm.
The course is non-technical but very fast and a lot more fun than you would think for a public park - the lads did a good job last year of making some speedy singletrack through the park so it will be as good, if not better, this year.

I command all MAD racers (and even non-racers) to get out and hammer the rest of the MTB clubs like we have been doing all year.

The team-relay on the Saturday is great craic - get your teams together now!

IMBRC are getting all fancy and enabling people to sign-on online - check their site as they will be enabling this capability over the next few days.

NPS XC Series Round 4 15th June Djouce Woods Co. Wicklow

Full details as always on the Official NPS website.

EPIC MTB are running the 4th round of the NPS on June 15th 2008 in Djouce Woods Co. Wicklow.
See below from Richie Byrne, EPIC MTB Club President:

"We have created new singletrack and a new course to compliment the existing ones in Djouce woods.
The course is about 8km per lap and it would be fair to say that it has a fantastic mix of trails.
We just have to tweak a couple of sections and I will forward a course preview.
Directions and a list of accomodation and all the information will soon be available on this site.

Refreshments and portaloos will be available on race day.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
"

Cheers!

News from Coillte website:
27.03.08
Alternate sections of the Ballinastoe Mountain Bike Trails will be closed from Monday 31st March 2008 over a period of 2 months. This is to facilitate the removal of timber from the property.
We would ask all trail users to respect the section closure and re-routing signs. Your cooperation with these temporary section closures is much appreciated and is for health and safety purposes.

MAD would ask all their membmers to observe the closures/signage as this is for your safety - thanks

Winter weekends biking - tell us your stories!

It was a combination of cold, sunny, windy, rainy, icy, crunchy-mucky, misty, snowy and downright miserable weather on Saturday and Sunday (though Saturday was pretty nice in fairness) but that was no reason not to be out biking!

Drop a line in the blog and let us know how you got on...
