2006 Subscriptions

We'd like to remind people that their 2006 membership subscriptions are now due. Club registration is just €20, but everybody will also need to register with Cycling Ireland.

The club membership form can be downloaded from here, and can be given, along with the subscription fee, to any member of the committee on a spin. Cycling Ireland registration can be done on their website.

Please contact Mick (by email, or at 086 6004878) for further information, or if you're unsure about the Cycling Ireland registration.

    Lads,
My girlfirend bought me the bike and all the gear at christmas, I've been threatening to go on a cycle, but its been a while. Would I be in over my head if I went along? (been a few years since I was up in the hills)

    hello anonymous,

You'll definitely be fine on a beginner spin, as long as you've been doing some bit of cycling for a few weeks before you come out. If you haven;t even been on a bike in years then its best to get out on the bike to get used to it first.

jaysus you're all fierce secretive altogether!

Just come out on the next beginner spin. There's new people out all the time and the pace is dictated by the slowest person, thats why they're called beginners spins!

You may even find the beginner spin too slow for you .. who knows.

    anonymus to the other anonymus

Thats a good idea, both of us going out at the same time. Good to know I won't be the only slow one. I'll take the stabilisers off this week then.
