Interclub league round 2

The second round of the inter-club league takes place this Sunday on the MAD course. This one is being organised by MAD and IMBRC. The race begins at 10am sharp so please arrive at the Three Rock aerials by 9.30.
Everyone racing should have Cycling Ireland membership - if you haven't joined yet you can sign up here.

    Hi,
    Well done to all the racers today, very competitive indeed.

    Today also saw our much loved Polish long distance expert Maciek's last outing with the club, before he leaves Ireland.
    We wish him a fond farewell, all the best in the future and we'll also do a dance to the weather gods to get the snow in Poland to melt before he gets home, so he can get out on the bike.
    Hopefully we will see him back for a return spin sometime in the future.

    It was a great race and very close for much of it!

    The new part of the course at the bottom is amazing. I can't wait to head down and try a few of the jumps.

    There was a pretty small turnout for this race - maybe due to the thick fog. Despite that it was a good one - Mick and Gar (IMBRC Supremo) were busy on Saturday putting the course together. At the end of the MAD club course (from our Championship race last year) they've added a new singletrack section, with jumps! Some of the woodword is remarkably rickety - it's great. Unfortunately I didn't get to ride it since my lungs are broken. I did manage to take some pictures though.

    Well done to Rory on his win and I hope to see more riders for Round 3.
