    Good weekend of biking :)

On saturday myself, French Marc, Cormac and Czech David went for a spin up to Ticknock and beyond. We met Tim on the way who joined us. Up through the technical climbs - Reverse of TW's club course, Boneshaker and all the way up Fairy. Then down to the Wocca Woccas and up to Tibradden. Next came the rockiest descent I've been on in a while. It was mad! Everyone made it in one piece and then home we went.

We had a bigger turnout on Sunday - Myself, Paddy, Christian, Andrew, Cormac, Decklen, Thomas, Hussain, David Trek and David Giant(inventive eh??). Similar route to Saturday but we went all the way down the Wocca Woccas, where Paddy left us and then onwards to Prince Willies with the two Davids leading the way. We got to the top and then descended along the Wicklow Way through all the felled trees, and then picked our own route through the lower sections - the last section being very, VERY overgrown!

Followed the WW again up through Kilsomething and then down another slightly overgrown descent! We split here - 3 of us did the steps through the fields, while the other 6 did the fast flowy descent, which i gather was also overgrown. Crossed the river and then climbed up to the Carpark where we found a poorly parked car on a slope. Always pull the handbrake up fully! Dave Giant left us here and the remaining 8 of us made our way up through Crone where we met a lovely half of a deer lying on the fireroad - nasty.

Made our way up to RideRock and had a bit of a break and then turned right into what used to be the linking singletrack between the fireroads. It had been felled so we had to walk through it. The Wall trail was next on the list but unfortunately due to ahem, FELLING, we couldn't find the entrance. Thomas bravely made his way through the mess and found it but the rest of us headed down a fireroad and then through the singletrack down to the carpark. The long slog home began there :)

Everybody made it back in one piece thankfully. Good day's riding but it's a shame about all the felling on the nice tracks. 50 odd km, 1030 - 330.

    Cheers,
    Nigel

You missed Dave Treks big crash at the end of the descent from fairy castle ... that cunning placed large rock nearly did for him!
