Saturday 9th September - Club Spin
Hi,
Christian will lead this week's regular club spin, note that its on Saturday, the day before Sunday and after Friday.
This will be an all-comers spin for anybody not leading the beginners in Kindlestown, and will be on a route/destination of Christian's choosing.
It's Christian's first time to lead a spin, so I ask you all to be nice to him, remember that he also provides the nicest cake in MAD and has the most retro looking bike.
Meeting at the Yellow House at 10am.
Happy biking,
Sean

hey Tom - you got your spin alright huh??!! bet you weren't expecting it to be as savage as it was!!
I'm well wrecked but happy after it, my HR monitor told me I burnt 5.5K calories so getting the beer and Thai in with no guilt! hope yourself and Thomas made it back okay - things got very fragmented on the way home, myself and Morgan, you and Thomas, Sean and Luke, Steve and Brian, then the savages, all in different groups. Steve ended-up in Tallaght then had to cycle back to the YH - as if he didn't get enough miles in - a savage for sure!!

ah sure thats nothing, I had to put those miles in at the start of the day anyway........
deadly spin though, I haven't seen that many punctures since a certain day in Spain.
Think the score was MAD 2, IMBRC 22

Well done to everybody who completed yesterday, I clocked up 75km door-to-door on a very enjoyable spin. The muscles started to get cold after all the stopping and I thought I was gonna crap up very badly when climbing through Crone, but thankfully it abated.
Well done to Tom, for a guy who hasn't cycled in about a year, he did pretty well, even if he did do a bit of walking, "just for a change"
We should do more of those types of spins, just without the stopping. The interclub thing added to the fun as well.
Shame on IMBRC for leaving Luke behind to the wolves!
Sean
