Oh, I think it was from the Nationals, (note the shades).
All cool captains wear shades, now if you had had a pair of aviator sunglasses on you that day, well that REALLY would have made the pic!!
impacts are fun, except between MTBers and rocks/trees/bikes/other MTBers...

just Cap'n Pat and myself out tonight, pity, it was a great night for a spin, no rain, mild, and a breeze that blew you uphill-nice!

route went from the aerials to the club course then transitioned across then down the bad-ass boneshaker, 'cappy' encountered a bit of turbulence (fallen tree) on the way down, and 'hurted' his throttle hand a bit, but like a true fearless aviator, he threw himself back into the cockpit and hammered on down the 'shaker.

The captain descended to 200ft and dropped me off at Taylors airfield but I still had a bit of energy to dispose off so headed back up to the aerials again and lashed down the full length of the bonerattler -it was so much fun, deep gulleys and oddly placed large rocks, coupled with slippy muddy sections at a speed approaching MACH 3 = good times

hope your hand is ok Captain, you'll need it for slapping cheeky stewardesses on their bottom on your next flight....

yeah thankfully it turned out the hand was mostly undamaged. A big splinter from the tree had gone through the glove and into my knuckle so once that was removed twas all back to painless operation once more.

i also appear to have a poxy cold again :-(

can't beleive you went back up .. far more energy than i had

ha ha - hibernation, you make yourself sound like a grizzly bear who pokes his nose outside the warm cave every now and again and sniffs about a bit and thinks, "nah, not spring time yet!".
We'll be down your way some time over Christmas and will haul you up the mountain for a spin or two, start barricading that cave now Mark - we're comin for ya!

Oh, you too sexy Tom, now that your exams are over, you'll be getting the dreaded "bump bump" sound of 2.0 Maxxis Ignitor tyres knocking on your front door, left-tenant Lynch will back me up here, no-one is safe....(sinister background laughter)....no-one!

Get yourself wrapped up in bed with a hot water bottle and that blonde girl to look after you.....those chest infections are fierce hard to get rid of, mine took 4 weeks and it was miserable.
