What's on this weekend

Sweet delicious jelly
On Saturday the gradually-accelerating Martin will be leading a ride down to Cloon. This will be fairly long ride but at an easy pace so it be manageable for nearly everyone. Make sure you and your bike are prepared (ideally before the ride) and bring plenty of food. There are opportunities to shorten the route along the way if your legs turn to jelly. The return journey will be on the road via Enniskerry. Meet at the Yellow House at 10am.

On Sunday there will be a savage(!) spin down to Djouce. This will leave from the Yellow House at 8.45am. The terrifying Paddy J O'Brien will be leading and he's not taking any prisoners. Expect this one to last 5 hours +.

Finally, mild-mannered mountainbiker Shane Lavelle will be going for a ride around Hellfire and Masseys on Sunday afternoon and would be delighted if you joined him. Meeting at the Hellfire car park at 2pm.

    Ok guys,

Plan for Sunday - We're gonna meet at the Yellow House at 845am SHARP and head to Djouce via Crone etc. The pace will be fast with few stops and it is classed as a savage spin, i.e. 5hours+

Any problems - contact me on 087 9335403 or email at the address supplied.

Savage as in 6.5 hours.... I'm a bit broken, hitting the ground with my head didn't help either! Don't do it, it's a bad idea!!

The weather this weekend was the best I've seen in ages. A few of us went to Glendo on saturday and it was perfect. Sunday spin was cut short for me. Somehow bent my chain on a descent....??? so decided to call it quits in case I did it again further afield! at least i got to do the wocca woccas anyway! I wonder if the other lads made it home. Hamish and Sean made a return which was good to see

This mornings view of Dublin city was amazing, the visibility from three rock was perfect, and while the low lying cloud blanketed much of the city we were treated to beautiful sunshine with not even a breeze,

Luckily the ground was drier today than it has been for some time, leaving the ground fast and grippy, not that it stopped me from soaking the right side of my body in an ice cold puddle!...lady luck then treated me to a puncture and Nigel to a curvacious chain, .
...but asides from mechanicals it was a deadly spin, somewhat sub-savage but we got home in time for a tasty steak and to watch the rugby, not a bad sunday by all accounts...

No we went left at the foot of maulin ( i think)just after you climb out of the section near the river crossing with the gated wooden footbridge?..`we then went home on the road via enniskerry, kilternan etc...but was still a great spin...
