Wednesday Night Ride - Beginners

Beginner pace night ride next Wednesday (24th). It'll be very easy - just around the Phoenix Park - but it'll allow people to get used to riding offroad in the dark and make sure their lights are up to scratch. We'll meet at White's Gate entrance (near Farmleigh) at 7.30pm.

There will be steps, a few nice trails and a bit of messing about in the furry glen! (sounds saucy!!)

Martin (mail/post back if your up for it! and to see numbers)

What kind of lights would be needed?
    Would a standard LED do?

There won't be any street lighting so effectively it'll be completely dark. You need lights that are bright enough to see where you are going. I managed fine with a 2.5watt Cateye halogen light like this one for ages but generally people are using 10w+.

Hello. Newcomer here. Have been on one other ride with MAD (one of the thursday night race training nights a few weeks back) and would like to come along to the ride tomorrow night at Phoenix Park. Does that make me participant #5? Inga
