Post-Christmas recovery ride

The Treasurer writes:
"I know some of you are away for the Christmas period but I will be organising a ride on Monday 27th from the Yellow House at 11am. The ride will be aimed at trying to get turkey out of the system! I’m looking to head out for about 3 hours and the ride will be geared for whoever comes out. All beginners are welcome. If you’re interested let me know so I don’t stand there for 30 mins on my own."
They'll also be meeting at the Ticknock car park at 11.45. Please contact Colin before turning up in case the plan changes.

Club registration and committee

We registered the club with Cycling Ireland today. All the licence applications will be submitted in January. If you're interesting in joining the club or taking out a racing licence just contact a member of the committee. The club committee for 2005 is:
  • Chairman - Morgan O'Connell
  • Secretary - Mick O'Dowd
  • Treasurer - Colin Rann

We've already started making plans for next year, including new places to ride, foreign travel and a bit of racing. It's all looking good.

Pre-Christmas beginners ride

We're having our last beginners ride before Christmas this Saturday. It's to Masseys Wood, meeting at the Yellow House at 10.30am. As with all the beginners rides this will be at an easy pace and noone will be put under pressure. Everyone is welcome to come along - from complete beginners to more experienced riders who want an easy spin before Christmas and anyone who wants to avoid the mayhem of the city centre. See you there.

Djouce

This Sunday we're planning on riding down at Djouce, Co. Wicklow. We'll still meet at the Yellow House at 11am and drive down from there. If you have access to a car please bring it along on Sunday. This ride won't be suitable for beginners but we're planning another beginners ride before Christmas.
