    Oh lads, TOTALLY SAAAVAAGE!!!
A great idea Paddy, lets do another in the morning, a 6:30 am start this time....
50 odd km (for me) of fun and safari-action, loads of deer prancing around that time of morning up 3 rock, and some pheasants tried to attack us, then I tried herding sheep on the way to Powerscourt, and then we freaked-out these horses- even Paddy's charismatic soothing voice and subtly disarming charm couldn't settle the wildebeets - I thought the poor oul one on the horse was a gonner, feckin stupid horse started dancing backwards up a descent into the other horse when it saw us, what the hell was she thinking anyway, getting up on 10ft tall chicken-sh!t animal with no brakes...asking for trouble, oh and talking of asking for trouble the walker-with-an-attitude stuck-up oul one who thought she'd stand her ground when I was coming down the rocky steps after Ride Rock, yeah fats, like I'm gonna bail for you.....
what was it? nearly 25 heads out today? that group photo will look cool, I broke my camera in a fall so no pics of the fearless (and handsome) foursome that set-off in the very early hours...must have another look but methinks 'tis doomed...
anyway, thanks a lot to everyone for coming out, hope everyone had even half as good a time as me.

I gather the beginners got a bit more than they bargained for with the Morgan lad leading you on some tasty trails, nice one Mr Chairman!

young Oisin-hope you got your lift ok - you were lashing along today fair play to you

oh yes, hope a dog didn't find and run-off with your keys Morgan...we must tie a tasty steak to them the next time for the laugh...make a mental note there Nigel...

It was supposed to be a beginners spin? Why didn't anyone tell me? It worked out OK though, they were shedding tears of joy by the end.

    I found my keys too.

    I've uploaded some photos:

that photo of the club lined-up is inspirational...it should nearly get a seperate post of it's own....thanks a lot to Oisin for leading us on a great series of tracks around Djouce / Powerscourt, it's an excellent area for trails

Eh, yeah. I thought it was supposed to be a beginners spin aswell.. who suggested it anyway (Martin)! Wouldn't say it was one of my best spins, but probably the wrong day to decide to try learn to ride clipped in! Think I need to go back and change my new years resolutions :(

Well done to everyone who turned up, and extra well done as ye all did more than me!

jeez fergal, can i get some of them there drugs that you've been taking? That was a savage one alright .. mark, graham and myself were all nearly dead by the time we got back to the yellow house. we'll have to do some more of them early morning trips in the future, though this time with no deadline for being at djouce and that way we can go offroad from crone to there.

Good photos too ... i particularly like Bens dismount (http://madmtb.fotopic.net/p37529414.html), the look on his face is priceless
