Hey, this should be a good week for MAD by the looks of things!

If anybody is interested in racing on Sunday please contact me and state whether you need or can offer a lift. stephen_scrivener@yahooDOTco.uk

This is the perfect chance to fine tune or develop race tactics for the k Capital cup (which is next week!!)

Martin's Fun spin sounds great. Can non-members just show up or should they contact someone first? If so who?
FYI I've been cycling/commuting for years and MTBing at weekends for the last 6 months. I'm well used to climbing so shouldn't slow anyone down.

    Cheers, David.

Good spin on Three Rock last night. There was a respectable turnout - I'd guess about 14 brave souls. Starting from the aerials we did laps down the boneshaker, into the woods to the big gap jump and then back up to the aerials, all at top speed. After five laps I was getting pretty tired and the descending got very ropey - a few crashes on the descent. Finally managed six laps - Ryan was on around 8. People headed off when they'd had enough but four of us (Oisin, Ryan, Nigel and myself) stayed on and rode the full club course and then down towards the blue light and home. Started to get a tiny leg cramp on the way home so I think I'd done enough for one night - nearly 4 hours on the bike, not bad for mid-week.

Last night was savage. For anyone wanting to get fit for racing that's a great wee course. The steep section meant you really had to pedal and balance the bike properly and then fly on on the tarmac... Then make sure your not to tired for the boneshaker and the sloppy section through the forest.

Checked my Garmin when I got back - I did 9 laps ;)

    Morgan,

Great stuff last night! did 4 laps with Richie, Shane L and Colm and we blasted back to the cars from the ariels! If that does not get you fit nothing will....

I've a long way to go but that savage Ryan! DEADLY!! I was convienced he's a 1.8 deisel engine on the rothar! more power to yah Ryan!

Great turn-out and two new faces!

    in recovert mode for Sat

    Thanks for the honourable mention!!!

I have to concur, that was a great day's riding. Early morning start with 4 of us booting around 3 rock, then joined Martin's gang of 16(!!) for a trip over the Col du Fairycastle and Mont Tibradden.

Great spin, great weather, great group

lovely weather and a great gang out today.
The early spin was ideal, good pace and good to see Sean back out on a 'proper' bike!
some of the newer people were flying today, particularly Karen, on her sisters bike, ripping along, great to see it.
David looked like he was having fun too, a great choice of new bike on his part I must say...Martin would agree too...

Oisin 'FitzSavage' was in top form again, he'll be having fun come race time....
Nigel's new bike was looking hot - until Tibradden, where half of it got sucked by a swampy bog, as did most of everyone's bikes.

'til the next time mud lovers!

Crone to Djouce spin is cancelled due to weather concerns.

It's awful out that way at the moment and is going to get worse.

I'm trying to text as many people as I can.

    Apologies,
    Nigel

Shame about the bad weather on Sunday. It cleared up later in the afternoon but the ground would still have been totally water logged. A lot of roads were flooded around Wicklow. I should have gone biking on Saturday instead.

Yeah, im the same Oisin. Held out for the race on Sunday by studying on Saturday. Weather was too miserable to bother at all then... :(
