Bank Holiday Weekend Spins

Hello,

Sorry I'm not as creative as Fergal with my spin announcements, but here goes........

Saturday March 17th
8.30am - Taylor's Pub
Awesome/Savage level (but short) spin with Nigel. Bring your fast legs.

9.00am - Crone Carpark
Martin's Easy spin around Crone and Djouce. Remember, you'll need food + water, spare tubes, pump & multitool and suitable clothing.

Sunday March 18th - Mother's Day
10.00am Yellow House
Savage spin oe'r hill and dale. Wish your Mother "Happy Mother's Day" before you leave in case you're not back in time to do so afterwards.
You'll need to be 100% self sufficient, it would also be a good idea to be familiar with the road routes home in case you have to drop out.

If we're feeling especially organised, we'll let you know about Monday, otherwise just keep an eye on your email or phones and we'll plan something off the cuff.

Finally - MAD has reached international fame thanks to our grim elite star, Ryan.
His photograph and result appeared on the www.cyclingnews.com website, the source of all international cycling information.

Happy St. Patrick's (and Mother's) Day,

Sean

Myself, Oisin and Mark took an adventure spin up the Sugarloaf yesterday also. Deadly spin, we took a route down the Sugarloaf I had never taken which was so fast and rough. Lot of fun.. We werent too far from dropping in on a halting sites back garden before we thought better of it and looked for another route.

So much scope for a deadly race circuit around this area.....

well that was possibly the strangest weather i have seen. Sun, Rain, Snow, gale force winds, no wind, yada yada all in the space of 30mins and then repeat :)

Only me and Cait set off from yellow house this morning. We met Polish Peter and his friend (sorry, never asked his name) just before the climb up to Prince William's Seat. All four of us made it to Crone before we called it quits. The road home was quite unpleasant - the wind is no friend of mine :(

good spin this morning in GOTDs and Kindlestown! we met up with Colm and Shane (international man of mystery) and headed to over for a few loops of GOTDs and then back to K/town for one! Shane, old Ciaran, Conor Karl and the boys had a nice 3 hr stint and loads of weather conditions to battle with !

    rock on !

Emil and myself were not in a good form afterwards, we ended up with 85 km distance and coming back through Phoenix Park we were caught by the Blizzard :-) again ...
It was tough but we made it!
    Thanks for the company Nigel!
Cait is unbeliveable, we were really impressed!MTB

    Hello guys!

I enjoyed a ride on Sunday (well, at least the first part of it). Nice uphils nice and fast descents (only one faceplant on the way ;-). The only problem was weather.
It was so cold and windy that me and Peter had to stop on our way back in a pub to get a hot tea. We were so cold and wet that the first thing we did after entering the pub was cuddling the heater. :-)
After ~30 minutes we continued on.
A blizzard that us in a Phoenix Park was really awful. My hands were so numb that I couldn't even change a gear or reach for a brake lever. After returning home I couldn't drink a tea - I trembled so much that I spilled half of the cup simply trying to drink it. :-|
I'm not going to forget this day any time soon... :-)

Hey Nigel and Cait - thanks for the ride!
