a great way to spend an evening, this one will be a lot of fun, give Coronation St a skip and get out for this, show those hill-running odd-balls the error of their ways....

As Nigel can testify, this event is a really really good one... Its sorta like the Blast in some parts as once the trail starts pointing downwards you can start kicking runner ass (like flying past all of those poor DHers) but once you start climbing again, they catch you soon enough!
Don't miss it people!!!

Feck me but young Fitzsavage was flying around that race route tonight on his new bike - put the more 'experienced' members of MAD to shame - we reckon we would have had you on a longer race though....hee hee!
Nice one Oisin, don't forget to take that light off your jersey before you throw it in the wash!!
The older but certainly no-less-savage Oisin B also had a great race, must be something in the name I think, can club members now start calling me Oisin to see if it boosts my savage-o-meter at all....
That was good craic - a bit short I thought but enjoyable all the same,
boneshaker climb wasn't all that bad....up Fairy was ok too after a quick chain re-cogging,
the trail along the top of no-dabs leading to the fireroad was dry, flowy and full of small dips, the bikers were laughing along this section....
..the climb up the firebreak which runs alongside the forest section near the entrance to the mad club course wasn't too nice though...all these loose rocks in the way...must get rid of them all....
swapped position with Basil from EPIC a few times during the race, he didn't look too much like he was exactly having a whole heap of fun, but I'm sure inside me was laughing....he cracked a "hill-arious" quip on the way around so I knew he wasn't too distraught...
The mad contingent then posed for a quick club snap and then off down the new trail, down the mad cc, (great craic in the near dark)transitioned across the boneshaker then down to the road on the driest trails this side of the Sahara
...and all for charity too :)
good turn-out from MAD (though where were our hot ladies?)- think we outnumbered the Worcies, IMBRC and EPIC....dead cool.....

Yeah that was great craic, myself and young shane diced all the way,...the route was well picked although I would have loved to descend back to where we started but I guess that would leave the runners well behind, .... it got a great turnout, MAD definitely had one of the greater showings!
